Bath & Body Works fiscal third-quarter performance topped analysts’ estimates thanks to strong sales and the retailer boosted its full-year outlook.

(Reuters) - Bath & Body Works on Monday raised its forecast for full-year adjusted profit and said it expects a smaller drop in annual sales, helped by steadfast demand for its personal care products and new offerings in its stores, sending the retailer's shares up about 12% in premarket trading.

Bath & Body Works ( BBWI) shares skyrocketed when the personal care items retailer posted better-than-expected results and boosted its outlook on strong store traffic, customer loyalty and optimism about the upcoming holiday season.

Bath & Body Works is forecasting a smaller decline in full-year sales and raising its profit estimate after better-than-expected third-quarter earnings. The news sent the retailer’s share price up 17 percent to $35.96.
