Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party Chair Ken Martin, who is running for DNC chair, joins Chris Jansing to explain why he is the best candidate and how the party can win future elections.

Ken Martin, chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farm-Labor Party (DFL) and a candidate for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair, argued the party must be willing to “recenter” its agenda after it suffered a string of defeats during last month’s elections.

Following their last defeat, in 2016, the race for Democratic National Committee chair turned into a proxy battle between progressives and the establishment. Now, Democrats are hoping to sidestep an intra-party feud that could further rupture the party.
