DMK MP TR Baalu has given an adjournment notice in Lok Sabha to discuss the damage to standing crops and properties due to unprecedented rainfall and heavy flooding in the districts of Villuppuram, Cudalore, Chengalpattu in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

The government and opposition parties reached an agreement on Monday, 2 December, to break the week-long impasse in Parliament and announced the dates for a discussion on the Constitution, to mark its 75th year of adoption, in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

As Parliament’s Winter Session unfolds, a breakthrough seems possible. The Opposition and government have reached a tentative agreement to facilitate smoother proceedings, with critical debates scheduled.

The Congress accused the government of avoiding discussions in Parliament on issues like the Adani bribery allegations and Sambhal violence. Both Houses were adjourned amid opposition protests demanding debates.
