Revealed as a concept back in May 2024 the F1-inspired Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed is now ready for the road. It’s the first car in Mercedes’ Mythos series, which will be made in very limited numbers and sold to the company’s most loyal customers.

Roughly seven months after premiering in concept guise at the Monaco Grand Prix, Mercedes-Benz has officially lifted the veil on the exclusive Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed in Abu Dhabi. This is the first model from the new Mythos family and will be capped at just 250 units worldwide.
The New Mercedes Mythos Is an Ultra-Exclusive Open-Top Car With No Windshield
Mercedes announced plans to launch Mythos, its latest sub-brand, earlier this year. The new line will sit atop of the automaker’s portfolio and will produce ultra-exclusive vehicles that combine the best aspects of its powerful AMG and opulent Maybach models. And, based on the first look at the finished AMG PureSpeed, it will do just that.

According to Michael Schiebe, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, the PureSpeed is the “most direct way to experience performance and fun at the wheel” — just make sure you have your helmet handy. Yes, you get two aerodynamically optimized helmets with your purchase. They feature an intercom system so the car’s occupants can communicate with each other.
