Meta platforms ‘99%’ restored after outage disrupts Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp
Meta announced a technical issue Wednesday afternoon disrupting access to the technology conglomerate’s apps. The company owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. On X, formerly known as Twitter, Meta said the issue is impacting some users’ ability to access apps. The company said it is working to get access returned as soon as possible.

Meta users faced major disruptions on Wednesday as Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Threads reported outages. By 12:30 p.m. CT, Downdetector logged over 90,000 complaints for Facebook, 60,000 for Instagram, and 11,000 for Messenger and WhatsApp.
