Grammy-winning rock band Coldplay enthralled Mumbaikars with its concert over the weekend which was also attended by celebs. Their return to India after 9 years was nothing short of a cultural celebration where the band`s frontman Chris Martin captivated the audience with his humour and curiosity.

Coldplay’s much-awaited return to India after nine years kicked off at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, but the crowd’s response left fans divided. Despite Chris Martin's energetic performance, many online expressed disappointment over the audience's lack of enthusiasm.

Navi Mumbai hotels are fully booked for the Coldplay concert, with rates spiking between ₹21,000 and ₹90,000. The concert runs from January 18-21. A third show was added due to overwhelming ticket demand.

Chris Martin's Coldplay concert in Mumbai was also attended by Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali and daughter Sara. Fans chanted Sachin's name at the concert.
