Pat Fox is going to do everything in his power to beat Frankenmuth and lead Pontiac Notre Dame Prep to its first football state championship. And, if it happens, some of the credit will go to Frankenmuth.

DETROIT (WJRT) - Frankenmuth lost to Pontiac Notre Dame Prep, 42-7, in the Division 5 state championship game. Notre Dame Prep is coached by Pat Fox, a Frankenmuth alum, who led the Fighting Irish to the football program's first-ever state championship victory.

Pontiac Notre Dame Prep are Division 5 state champions after dealing a crushing blow to yet-undefeated Frankenmuth at Ford Field. The Fighting Irish defeated the Eagles 42-7, setting the tone early with a fumble recovery that set up an 87-yard touchdown pass from Sam Stowe to Billy Collins.
