Parts of New York, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania have been walloped by a major winter storm that dropped feet of lake-effect snow over the weekend. States braced for more whiteout conditions in the coming days as a lake-effect storm dropped several feet of snow in parts of the region by the early weekend.

Lake-effect snow warnings were in effect through Tuesday night in parts of Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania while nearly 4 feet fell in upstate New York and parts of Pennsylvania and Michigan.
