Having impressed since his first-team breakthrough at Palmeiras, the 19-year-old central defender is now on the move to European soccer.

Vitor Reis has joined Manchester City to provide a welcome boost to the club's injury-hit defence. Reis, 19, joins the Premier League champions from Brazilian club Palmeiras for a reported fee of £29.4 million on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Palmeiras have not registered Vitor Reis for the 2025 Campeonato Paulista with the teenage defender expected to join Manchester City.

Palmeiras had hoped to keep Reis on loan for the remainder of the season but City have insisted that he moved this month amid their recent injury crisis in defence
