India's Bajaj Finance posted a rise in third-quarter profit on Wednesday, helped by strong loan growth during the holiday season.

During the reported quarter, Bajaj Housing Finance’s net interest income (NII) increased by 25 percent to Rs 806 crore from Rs 645 crore in Q3 FY24.

Bajaj Finance shares soared six percent to a record high of Rs 8,250.65 after strong Q3 earnings, driven by robust AUM growth and upbeat brokerage calls projecting further upside.

Bajaj Finance Net Interest Income (NII) rose 22.6% YoY to ₹9,382.4 crore, beating CNBC-TV18 poll expectations of ₹9,335 crore.

Bajaj Finance posted a 17% YoY rise in consolidated net profit for the December quarter, reaching Rs 4,247 crore, surpassing estimates. Revenue from operations increased by 13%, and net interest income rose by 23%.

Results: Bajaj Finance on Wednesday reported an 18 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,308 crore for the December quarter.

Shares of India's Bajaj Finance rose as much as 6% to an all-time high on Thursday, a day after the non-bank lender reported a quarterly profit surge because of solid loan growth, which analysts said augurs well for its earnings next year.
