A 16-year-old Missouri high school hockey player died Wednesday days after a stray bullet struck him on a busy highway while he was driving home from his game with his father.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that Colin Brown, a teenage hockey player shot Saturday evening on Interstate 55, died Wednesday morning.

Colin Brown, a 16-year-old hockey player, was struck by a stray bullet on Interstate 55 in South St. Louis while driving home with his father from his hockey game on Saturday. He succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. The Blues left a hockey stick outside their locker room in memory of the youth star.
