A young woman confronted riot police in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, as part of protests against the decision of the Georgian Dream party to put EU accession talks on hold. Footage showed a solo protest by the woman who tried to break a riot police cordon.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday claimed the domestic radical opposition forces were behind “all violent groups that were acting” the previous days at the protest rallies outside the Parliament building in central Tbilisi against the Government’s decision to suspend the country’s European Union accession talks until 2028.

The ancient streets of Georgia's capital city were again choked with smoke on Sunday night, as anti-government protests continued into a fourth consecutive night.
