Birmingham faces second water main break this month, cold weather to blame
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC) - The city of Birmingham is dealing with its second water main break this month, and officials say freezing temperatures are largely to blame.

"It is currently 12 degrees which could be problematic for travel in the area,” Mayor Randall Woodfin said in his post.
Large water main break in Birmingham's Ensley area could cause icy traffic issues
The initial water main break affected residents in the Tuxedo Junction area, including the Tuxedo Terrace housing community. Residents in the Ensley Park area will be affected as efforts to repair the break continue. Those areas will have little to no water while repair work is in progress.

A major water main break in Ensley is disrupting water service for residents Wednesday morning. Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin said water service for anyone living west of I-65 may be impacted by the break.
