Samsung has removed Bluetooth functionality from the Galaxy S25 Ultra's S Pen and it no longer supports a few handy features.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra 's S Pen unfortunately no longer supports Bluetooth, but Samsung has mercifully decided to keep most of the S Pen's unique and smart features, including a quite important one (especially paramount if you happen to be forgetful).

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen no longer supports Bluetooth connectivity, removing features like Air Actions. Samsung says the change was made due to low user engagement and suggests using other devices.

During a media briefing on the new S25 series last week, Samsung explained that customers rarely ever used the “Air action” gestures. So the company decided to try and cut costs by ditching them entirely.

The magic wand spells and air gestures are no longer supported by the S25 Ultra's S Pen - and probably future models. Here's why.

The S-Pen was introduced with the Galaxy Note series in 2011. Bluetooth was only added starting from Galaxy Note 9, unlocking the ability to tap the button on the pen to do certain tasks. On the Galaxy Note 10, more advanced “Air Actions” were brought in that allowed users to control the device remotely with the pen.
