TUESDAY, 4:30 pm: The ex-police officer who fired a taser at 95-year-old Clare Nowland, resulting in her death, has been dismissed from the police force. Former Senior Constable Kristian James Samuel White had been suspended from duty with pay in late May 2023, several days after the tasering.

The lawyer for the family of a 95-year-old woman who was fatally tasered by a police officer has said that the family is “not seeking revenge” and hopes instead for “positive changes”.

Kristian White, who was found guilty last week of the manslaughter of the 95-year-old, has been removed from the NSW Police Force by Commissioner Karen Webb. The Nowland family has criticised the time the Commissioner took to act.
