There's rarely shame in losing to the top-ranked team in the country, especially when that loss comes by three points at a neutral site, but Duke basketball fans probably feel like the Blue Devils let one get away from them on Tuesday night in Las Vegas.

Tyrese Proctor led Duke (4-2) with 15 points, Flagg scored 13, Kon Knueppel had 11 and Sion James finished with 10. Mayo put Kansas ahead for good when he made a jumper with 1:57 left for a 73-71 lead. Flagg hit a free throw for Duke and Rylan Griffen answered with two foul shots with 2 seconds left.

Flagg has been tested during the first weeks of his college career, and the 17-year-old phenom still looks like the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
