We’re watching a cool airmass dropping down from Canada that will send waves of showers inland through the middle of the week. Some showers may turn into light snow in the lowlands during the coldest parts of the day.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - A mild day is in store for much of the area today as temperatures are forecasted to climb into the 40’s and 50’s. While the milder weather is nice, it won’t last long as snow begins to move on Sunday night and into Monday thanks to a shortwave (disturbance) behind our low pressure system.

After snow showers & freezing drizzle Sunday morning, a milder end to the weekend with considerable cloudiness. A First Alert for Monday morning as more snow is on the way. This will be a narrow band of snow with accumulations ranging from an inch to a few inches.

Kournikova, who stays mostly out of the spotlight, has been with singer Enrique Iglesias since 2001. Phyllis Fong, a 22-year veteran of the Agriculture Department, had told colleagues that she intended to stay after the White House fired her Friday.

Cooler air starts to move in early next week with highs in the 40s likely Monday. Those will dip back into the normal highs in the 30s by Tuesday so enjoy the weekend. There’s also a chance for a wintry mix, maybe even snow by Wednesday into Thursday.

After a mild end to the work week on Friday, chillier air is on tap for the start of the weekend. Along with that, the next clipper system will bring some snow/snow showers to the region from Saturday night into Sunday morning.
