Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (shoulder) suffered an injury in Week 12 of NFL action, and wasn't able to finish his game. It's been a frustrating up-and-down season for Downs, between the injuries he's dealt with and the miniature carousel at quarterback the Colts have had this year.

Downs suffered a right shoulder injury, and was questionable to return but returned to the field on the next drive. Downs came off the field with his hand on the right side, holding his helmet, and was examined by trainers on the bench for a while.

Unfortunately, Downs suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions. While Downs was able to return and finish the game, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that the shifty slot receiver is a long shot to play in Week 13 against the New England Patriots.
