Martin Truex Jr. may have his hands full at the Daytona 500, where he’ll attempt to qualify with a team making its NASCAR Cup Series debut.

Tricon Garage, which competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will field a Daytona 500 entry for former Cup champion Martin Truex Jr. It marks the first Cup event for the Toyota team. Truex also will be reunited with former crew chief Cole Pearn for this effort.

Truex must either post a fast speed in qualifying or secure the transfer position in his qualifying race to claim a spot in Daytona.
