The annual Iowa-Nebraska game doesn’t get the same hype as Alabama-Auburn and some other other college football rivalries, but emotions run high in the battle for the Heroes Cup. And things got wild Friday night.

Nebraska didn't just suffer a heartbreaking loss to Iowa on Friday night, the program legitimately made a fool of itself in primetime. Prior to kickoff between these two rivals, Nebraska players refused to shake hands with Iowa's captains.

Nebraska led 10-0 at halftime, but Iowa scored the next 13 points to steal a win on its home field with a 53-yard field goal as time expired.

The Huskers, who led 10-0 at halftime, "haven't caught" Iowa in terms of finishing games and making plays that count in tight-knit battles.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule spoke with the media following the Cornhuskers’ 44-25 blowout win over the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday. His program defeated the Badgers for the first time in 12 years, and captured the Freedom Trophy for the first time in its existence. From the opening kickoff, the Cornhuskers left little doubt.
