The Union ministry of tourism announces major projects for Meghalaya, including development of Umiam Lake and MICE infrastructure in Shillong, aiming to establish the region as a top tourist hub.

The new Meghalaya assembly building in Mawdiangdiang is on track for completion and is anticipated to be inaugurated before the autumn session of 2024, according to assembly speaker Thomas A Sangma.
