The SWBNO says water pressure in the area fell below 20 psi due to a power surge at the Carrollton Water Treatment plant.

Boil advisories issued in several parishes
A boil water advisory has been issued for the unincorporated area of St. James Parish. The area includes the east and west banks of the parish, but not the town of Lutcher and the town of Gramercy. The advisory was set due to pressure loss in the system from excessive water use. It will remain in place until further notice from the parish.
