A new upper mid-range Snapdragon chip is on the way, and a leaker suggests this could be called the Snapdragon 8s Elite.

Qualcomm may launch a Snapdragon 8s Elite chip for upper-midrange phones, possibly debuting in April 2025. The Snapdragon 8s Elite is rumored to outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but falls short of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It could bring better efficiency and might power phones with massive 7000mAh batteries.

A recent round of rumors claim Qualcomm's "Snapdragon 8s Elite" will feature a power that sits between two past-gen SoCs. The chip is rumored to see a power that's greater than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but weaker than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Rumors claim the chip could see a Q1 2025 debut alongside another midrange-focused SoC.
