Tripura’s BJP-led government has launched an inquiry into the breach. Suspended officers include sub-inspectors Dilu Jamatia, Debabrata Sinha, and Joynal Hossain. Assistant Commandant Kanti Nath Ghosh has also been withdrawn for alleged negligence. Additional security personnel have since been deployed to the mission.

Police said seven persons have been arrested so far for their alleged involvement in the incident and probe has already been started to understand how it all happened.

The Tripura Police have suspended three Sub-Inspectors and closed a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) to the Police Headquarters for alleged negligence of duty and seven individuals have been arrested after a group of right-wing activists stormed into the premises of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala and desecrated the national flag of the neighboring country on Monday.
