Vornado is recalling its VH2 whole room heaters because the product's power cord can potentially detach and lead to electric shock and fire hazards.

Thousands of Vornado space heaters sold on Amazon have been recalled amid concerns over possible "electric shock and fire hazards," according to the company.

Amid this week’s frigid temperatures, a space heater is being recalled for electric shock and fire hazards. While space heaters are generally safe to use to supplement furnaces during cold weather, this one is not, according to a recall posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Vornado recalled about 7,780 whole room heaters due to a power cord issue that can pose electric shock and fire hazards.
