At his confirmation hearing last week, the former combat veteran and Fox News host said he was “falsely accused” in the 2017 incident.
“I think Pete Hegseth did a great job today. I think he’s sailing toward a confirmation. I think we’re going to do it quickly,” Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) told CNN after the hearing.
