Anthropic has raised an additional $4 billion from Amazon, and has agreed to train its flagship generative AI models primarily on Amazon Web Services

Amazon is doubling its investment in Anthropic. The e-commerce giant will provide Anthropic with an additional $4 billion in funding on top of the $4 billion it committed last year. Although Amazon remains a minority investor,

Invent conference, Amazon also announced new tools to help customers build generative AI programs, including one that checks whether a chatbot’s outputs are accurate or not.

AWS will be Anthropic’s primary training partner, and the startup will help in the development of Trainium accelerators.

Amazon.com Inc. will provide artificial intelligence partner Anthropic with a massive cluster of homegrown chips it says will quintuple the startup’s current processing power.
