WB—is estimated to be between 240 and 525 feet across and will pass us at about twice the distance between the Earth and moon.

A stadium-sized asteroid, 2006 WB, will pass Earth at a safe distance of twice the Earth-Moon distance on November 26. Traveling at 9,400 mph, this near-Earth object will allow astronomers to collect valuable data.

Last year, researchers excitedly announced that they had found two organic compounds essential for living organisms in samples retrieved from an asteroid called Ryugu. The Japanese Space Agency's Hayabusa2 spacecraft obtained the samples from the space rock in 2019.
