Baena had been married to actor Aubrey Plaza since 2021 and the couple collaborated on several films, including in the 2014 movie “Life After Beth.”

Filmmaker Jeff Baena, the husband of actress Aubrey Plaza, has taken his own life at the age of 47. His body was discovered by an assistant at his Los Angeles home on Friday morning, where he was later pronounced dead, media reports say. The medical examiner for the County of Los Angeles gave the cause of death as suicide.

The Sundance regular was known for such films as 'I Heart Huckabees,' 'The Little Hours' and 'Life After Beth,' among others. He and Plaza worked on five features together.
