Thornton Township trustees vote to fire Kamal Woods and William Moore, two members of Supervisor Tiffany Henyard’s adminsitration.

This came nine days after a brawl in which Henyard's boyfriend and Henyard herself were involved. But Henyard's boyfriend, Kamal Woods, had already been suspended for work performance.

Thornton Township Trustee Stephanie Wiedeman moved to fire Henyard’s boyfriend Kamal Woods, who was hired by Henyard to run the township’s youth program. This came after he was involved in a brawl during a meeting last week.

Good afternoon, Chicago. Just over a week after a Thornton Township meeting broke out in brawl involving Supervisor Tiffany Henyard, anti-Henyard activists and others, township trustees met yesterday to discuss their budget proposal and fire two employees.

At the meeting, the board fired two township employees. As Jermont Terry reports, one of the workers the trustees fired was Kamal Woods, the boyfriend of Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard.

Witnesses say it all started when a community activist and frequent critic of Supervisor Tiffany Henyard told her, “You gone, b—ch."

CBS2 reports that a member of the public took Supervisor Tiffany Henyard to task and used an expletive, sparking a brawl at Tuesday's meeting.

Thornton Township was prepared to get back to business Tuesday night, but a large fight broke out after an activist called Supervisor Tiffany Henyard an expletive.

South Holland police ultimately had to clear out trustees, neighbors, and the news media after allies and critics of Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard let their fists speak for them.
