Defense lawyers for President-elect Donald Trump are using President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter to argue that Trump’s conviction in his Manhattan hush money case should be dismissed.

Donald Trump’s lawyers told a judge that his New York hush money conviction must be dismissed as a result of his election victory, arguing that the president-elect was unfairly targeted by prosecutors.

Trump’s attorneys wrote that a judge had to ensure their client, who has not been sentenced, would be released from the case involving guilty verdicts on 34 counts.
